For those of you interested in more than just tasting
wines of Tuscany. We can organise trips to the cellars
of famous Tuscan cellars in the vineyards.
Here you can tour the cellars and have a guided tour
discovering the process of wine production for
the planting and farming of the vines.
The harvesting of the grapes, the pressing,
processing of the wine. Through to the ageing usually
in oak barrels. Finally bottling when matured.
See how different vineyards approach the process of wine
production in different ways. All trying to achieve
the project blend.
From the large cellars of producers such as Castello Banfi
and Frescobaldi through to family owned and run vineyards
we can arrange tours to suite everyone.
You can even enjoy a week touring vineyards and cellars
in the famous Chianti and Rufina region of Tuscany
by horse back if you wish for more information

The Castello Banfi estate is a constellation of single vineyards.
These include the award-winning Poggio all'Oro (36 acres of Brunello),
Tavernelle (243 acres of Cabernet Sauvingon), Mandrielle (43 acres Merlot),
Belnero (30 acres of Pinot Noir), Colvecchio (30 acres of Syrah),
Fontanelle (100 acres of Chardonnay), Serena (30 acres of Sauvignon Blanc)
and San Angelo (243 acres of Pinot Grigio).
The slopes offer great possibilities for site selection by variety,
Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, for example, are grown at between
750 and 1,380 feet above sea level, where the nights are
cool and the ripening season long. Chardonnay is the most
widely planted white grape while Brunello,
the local small-berried version of Sangiovese,
is the principal red variety, covering approximately 365 acres.
