Situated at the
feet of mountains, Pistoia is a
real jewel where art and culture
are perfectly mixed together.
The city is very intimate and
refined, almost “shy” but, in
the same time, it is the setting
of concerts of every kind
starting from the Pistoia
festival offering lyrical music,
opera and classical music up to
the very famous Pistoia blues.
Everything takes place in the
marvellous narrow streets
leading to squares where Tuscan
gothic architecture shows some
of its best examples. In the Dom
square, connected with the
cathedral thanks to a passage,
the Town Hall Palazzo was built
from the 13th to the
14th century and with
its majestic shape and the
arcades remembers the glory of
Middle Ages and of the
Renaissance. It is possible to
marry in the “Sala Maggiore”
where the wood roof and several
pictures create a noble and
amazing atmosphere
