Situated in a
strategical position, very close
to the seaside and not far from
Florence and Pisa, Lucca is a
jewel, an elegant and silent
little ancient world out of
time.
If you look Lucca
from above, it looks like a star
completely surrounded as it is
from the walls which join eleven
bastions and which became
picturesque promenade under the
rule of Napoleon. Inside the
walls the art city is a small
never ending surprise, with
narrow streets discovering
beautiful squares, with noble
palaces hiding charming gardens,
with amazing corners and
churches.
Orsetti palace was built by
Nicolao Civitali for the Diodati
family on ancient medieval
house. The two main rooms (Sala
degli Specchi or Sala Verde) are
used to celebrate marriages.
